Sticking up for Wright

Wed Apr 30, 2008 at 05:43:19 AM PDT

Judging by the comments here on Kos, this Wright affair is really shaking people's faith in Obama. I have never read so many comments from wavering Obama supporters here - although thankfully that's still a big minority. The average opinion goes: "Yeah, Wright is nuts, but we can survive this, yes we can!" For shame you self styled liberals and progressives! Have we forgotten what we stand for? We're the ones who are supposed to be open minded to different voices, and to encourage oppressed peoples to stand up. And if it's rattled even the progressives like us, then believe that it's got the white blue collar voter all freaked out. Now our will is tested, and our conscience as well. More after the flip.

Worried on Wright? Think Again

Mon Apr 28, 2008 at 09:13:51 AM PDT

Reading the comments on recent Wright diaries it's pretty obvious that people feel like this might be VERY BAD or even sink Obama's campaign. But fear not, our time is now and change is coming. Soothe your fears after the jump.

Olive Branch Redux w/ Oath

Thu Mar 27, 2008 at 08:44:47 AM PDT

My last two lengthy posts were on this same topic: that we extend the olive branch to supporters of Bill and Hillary Clinton. Here's the short version with poll.

Sympathy for the Hillary - A Kossack's Vow -

Tue Mar 25, 2008 at 09:55:45 AM PDT

I vow to end divisive, cynical or negative comments against the other candidates, and their supporters. I swear to respond swiftly, with facts and truth, but also with conciliatory words to argumentative or misinformed posts. I take an oath to say positive, reassuring things to angry, outraged, misguided, or misinformed supporters of other candidates whenever possible.

I hope you will join me, after the flap.

Obamabots- - - Unite.

Mon Mar 24, 2008 at 08:33:20 PM PDT

I, along with many of you, have been a vociferous defender of Senator Barack on Kos, but more importantly, in undecided territory across the web. For months now I can barely let a nasty or ignorant remark on Huffington or Politico go unanswered. My job is to lay down fact with a healthy dose of incredulity and occasional scorn. It has been an easy task because I have been right, and the other side has been so clearly, obviously, and offensively wrong!

Hillary = King Kong, Barack = Mecha-godzilla??? CNN propaganda

Sun Mar 09, 2008 at 10:22:37 AM PDT

Did anyone catch the new bit that just aired on CNN? Unbelievable, and a fairly obvious smear pop-culture propaganda against Obama. really, they compared his delegate lead to the metallic skin of Mecha-Godzilla. CNN is getting to be worse than FOX News, where, as they say, the enemy of my enemy is my friend these days. Here is contact info for CNN, if you want to complain like I did. Aside from that I'll describe how much attention we ought to give to CNN's coverage below the flap.

Clinton's Secret Weapon

Sun Mar 02, 2008 at 01:40:51 PM PDT

A recent trend in primary politics is worrying Obama supporters, and giving Clinton supporters a cause for hope. Could a new kind of voting bloc help Hillary keep her edge in Texas and Ohio, or even lift her into the nomination in states beyond?
